2014 Series Aluminum Foil:
2014 series aluminum foil is called aluminum magnesium manganese alloy (or Aluminum foil in North America; Often informally called tin foil) is aluminum prepared in thin metal foil less than 0.2 mm (7.9 mil) thick; Thinner specifications as low as 6 microns (0.24 mils) are also commonly used. [1] In the United States, foil is usually measured in thousandths of an inch or mils. Standard household aluminum foil is usually 0.016 mm (0.63 mil) thick, while heavy household aluminum foil is usually 0.024 mm (0.94 mil) thick. Foil is flexible and can be easily bent or wound around an object. Thin foils are fragile and are sometimes laminated with other materials, such as plastic or paper, to make them stronger and more useful.
